Fields of

power, magic, whatever that is.

There are many kinds of fields, but one mattered more than others. Or, maybe it was two.

I'm not sure, but one thing is certain, power attracts power. They say opposites attract, but that is a bit overused. Something to meditate on. Or just ponder.

I was getting into a habit of a short little actual blog of my Earthly time here, but my mind is drawing a blank. There is the usual, of course. But, there's also the usual that may paint inaccurate pictures of people that actually know me. They may be selfish enough to think a thought is about them. Even though it could be, I'll not say too much in that light.

One thing this planet needs more of is economics education. Or less economics apathy. Whichever. How anyone could think adding money to the wages of the lowest paid will allot them better buying power is beyond the thought capabilities of anyone with any logical sense.

There is a misconception that a single store somehow makes the owner wealthy. It doesn't. They may have a good life, but there is a reason franchising exists and you see the same store name anywhere you roam. The one store may seem to make a lot of money, but it really is a tighter margin that you're thinking. Sure, the number is large, but so is the foot-traffic. And the cost of creating those stores is even larger. As is maintenance.

I will agree that these mega-corporations have an exceedingly large amount of funds, but they are never far from complete failure and being researched only in history books, if those don't get memory-holed. I've watched more than a few of the too-big-to-fail corporations do just that in my short time on Earth. Ask me again in a hundred or so years, and many of the mega-corporations you think can't fail will be less than a memory.

Of course, if wages of the higher earners don't increase to match the massive raises from the lowest receivers, you won't have the ability to read these pages. Your society won't exist.

And, maybe that is why I'm here. I'm telling you the story of how my first-ish world failed. Maybe next time, I'll be recollecting my time on Earth and how it failed.

You should pray that's not my mission. I sure hope it isn't.
