They're called man's best friend, and it really seems to be that way. They can detect injuries and illnesses to our bodies that we don't even know about, and they are extremely loyal.

Some people say it's just a pet and there will be others. But always remember, that pet is only part of your life. But, you are their entire life. Keep that in mind before getting pet of any kind. I'm far from the four-letter group that wants to treat animals as humans, but pets certainly do require a certain amount of respect.

That is one reason I currently don't have a dog. I know my daughter would love one, but I certainly don't have the space that any dog I'd get would love to have. They are born to run, let them.
