While a group may have a tendency, the individual may not.

Tendencies of the group don't define the individual.

I guess I'll just add to this blog I started some time ago. (https://aquillun.space/on-second-thought#just-thinking)

I originally started this blog a while ago to capture, and possibly expand, on that quote. But, if you read the title, I really don't need to add much now. Maybe later.

I do enjoy conversations locally around the use of plastic bags for bagging goods at stores. Most seem to have liked the plastic bags much more than what's available now. Most cite the extensive plastic packaging everything is coming in as to a why would they try to blame just the bag those other plastic bags are put in.

Deeper.

You may have noticed that many things are getting put into smaller packaging with their own barcode. This is to make it easier to use something I believe most people loathe. Self checkout.

There are some good things about it, but they are few and far between. Hiring enough people to keep checkout lanes open would be more welcoming. And reduce the overhead cost of things leaving the store without being scanned. If you're buying a large multiple of items, do you really scan them all?

Deeper.

Who is making that decision to put everything into convenient plastic packaging. That isn't a real question, you know it isn't you.

This goes to the same thing about asking the general public to reduce the amount of water used on private lawns. Why. So there's more water for the government lawns and golf courses. Naturally. Same for power, gas, et cetera.

Think about these more. Just be careful about what's at the bottom of that hole.
